The Team & Network
No one gets you there alone.
Performance Care is one part of a system. Some of the people in it work beside us every week; others are already part of your life. Either way, with your permission, everyone treating and training you works from the same picture of what your body needs.
The table. The floor. The field.
Three stages, each in the hands of the people who know it best.
01 · The table
Performance Care
Assessment and hands-on treatment that restore how the body moves to improve the sensory input to your nervous system.
JC Zegarra, DC, CCSP
02 · The floor
Performance Rehabilitation
Corrective exercise, ELDOA™, awareness, proprioceptive training, and progressive loading that teach the body to hold what treatment restored.
Ben Velazquez · Theo Aasen · or the physiotherapist or coach you already work with
03 · The field
Human Performance
Strength, speed and sport preparation, built on a body that can tolerate the load.
Theo Aasen, OAK · your coaches & our performance partners
Lasting performance takes all three. Not all three have to happen with us: if you already have a coach, trainer or physiotherapist, they become part of the plan. What matters is that no stage is skipped.
The core team

Rehabilitation & ELDOA™
Corrective exercise, rehabilitation and ELDOA™. Ben was Dr. Keith Pyne's business partner, and Dr. JC learned alongside them both; he considers Ben a mentor. Together they are rebuilding the table-and-floor partnership in Tampa.

Optimal Athlete Kollective (OAK)
Theo hosts our Tampa location at OAK and works across rehabilitation and sports performance with elite athletes and adults, so the move from the table to the floor can happen under one roof.

A network we trust, in person and remote.
Each category pairs the core team with independent professionals whose work we know. Partners practice on their own, in their own locations, and many work remotely, so distance doesn't have to break the plan.

How we work together
Keep the people you trust.
Already have a coach, trainer or therapist? Keep them. We work with your team, not instead of it.
With your permission
Findings and plans are shared only with the people you choose.
One plan
The table, the floor and the field work toward the same goal, in the same order.
Clear handoffs
Each person knows what the others found and what comes next, so you don't have to retell your story.
Your choice
Seeing a partner is a recommendation, never a requirement.
Questions
Do I have to work with your partners?
No. If you already have a coach, trainer or physiotherapist you trust, we work with them. A partner referral is a recommendation, made when it fits what the assessment found.
Who decides which partner I see?
Dr. JC recommends someone based on what you need and where you are in your care. The final choice is yours.
Are partners part of SportsLab Florida?
No. Partners are independent professionals. They set their own fees and schedules, and you book with them directly. We receive no payment or other compensation for referring you to a partner, so a recommendation is based only on what you need.
Can partners work with me remotely?
Many can. Strength programming, rehab progressions and check-ins often work well remotely, alongside in-person visits when you're in Tampa.
Already have a team? Bring them. Your first visit starts with your story.
